Welcome to our website. Here you will find information about our comfortable and quiet two-bedroom self catering cottage, and the local area.
Beiliglas Barn is a recently refurbished converted milking barn just outside the village of Myddfai, in the quiet north western corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is in a rural location, surrounded by farmland with lovely views of Myddfai Mountain.
The detached holiday cottage is off the road, 100 metres down a leafy country lane. The property is across the yard from the owner’s house, yet is very private with its own secluded garden.
The cottage is a short walk from Myddfai village with its new community centre, cafe and craft shop, and three miles to the market town of Llandovery.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen/dining/sitting room, with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, plus HD Freesat TV and blu-ray/dvd player, and music system for CD/ipod. There is underfloor heating throughout, and a wood stove in the main room.
There are two bedrooms – one king size, and one with twin beds (or zip-link to make super-king double). There is also space for a temporary bed or cot in the twin room. There is one bathroom with separate shower and bath. The cottage is all on one level.
French doors lead to a patio and large picnic table in the private garden at the rear. There is a portable BBQ and a small herb garden for guests use. Bike storage available. There is no smoking inside, and sorry we cannot accept dogs.
[Please note the garden is currently not enclosed and is close to a pond and stream, so not yet suitable for very young children.]
